• The design, aimed at improving the airport's baggage handling services, incorporates changes to the baggage handling system and associated building structure and services.

Partners

• Customer: Ove Arup & Partners (commissioned by the Hong Kong International Airport Authority)

Services provided

• Creation of As-Built models of existing airport terminal
• Assembly and management of design stage BIM models and their use in coordinating the existing systems with the new baggage handling system layouts
• Conversion of all As-Built information, plans and sketches into 3D models, and creation of 3D models for the new system to detect clashes between the building components of different building services, including the new baggage handling system
• Development of intelligent data links between the 3D models and spreadsheets containing data about the baggage conveyance systems
